1. General Policy

At CareerDad, we strive to provide high-quality AI tools. However, due to the digital nature of our products (AI credits and instant downloads), our refund policy is governed by the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act (ECT Act) and the Consumer Protection Act (CPA) as follows.

2. Non-Refundable Services

Refunds will not be issued in the following circumstances:

  • Used Credits: Once a credit has been used to generate a CV, cover letter, or interview simulation, the service is deemed "consumed" and cannot be refunded.
  • Change of Mind: We do not offer refunds if you simply change your mind after purchasing credits or a subscription.
  • Job Outcome: We do not refund fees based on the outcome of your job applications.

3. Defective Services (CPA)

If the Service is technically defective (e.g., the system crashes, credits are deducted but no output is generated, or the file is corrupted), you are entitled to a refund or restoration of credits.

Please report technical defects within 7 days of the incident to support@careerdad.co.za with your transaction reference. We will investigate logs and, if verified, restore your credits or refund the transaction.

4. Cooling-Off Period

Subscriptions: If you purchase a recurring subscription, you may cancel it at any time. The cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing period.

One-off Credit Packs: Under Section 44 of the ECT Act, the cooling-off period does not apply to digital goods which are available for immediate use/download.

5. Dispute Resolution

If you have a billing dispute, please contact us first before initiating a chargeback with your bank. We are committed to resolving legitimate issues amicably.
